Support our School

Giving

Thank you for your interest in supporting Saint Clement School! We invite you to explore this section of our website and learn how your stewardship gift can make a difference. Whether you are alumni, a current school family, parents of alumni, a parishioner interested in supporting Catholic education at Saint Clement School, or a Lincoln Park neighbor, your gift is appreciated!

Ways to Give:

Our Parish principle of Stewardship is alive and well at Saint Clement School. Our children pray together, serve together, give together and learn together. They gather as a community of learners and cultivate a powerful sense of belonging. Every day they share their many God-given gifts and talents freely, by serving the community and one another as they learn and grow.

It is only fitting that we follow their example and share our blessings freely with one another. As a community, we can meet the fundraising and volunteer needs of Saint Clement School and deepen our own sense of belonging.

If you are a school parent, we ask you to please make Saint Clement your top charitable giving priority while your child is with us. You can do so by supporting each of the three main Giving Anchors. The Giving Anchors are how we put our values into action as a faith community and cultivate our own sense of belonging. Saint Clement School is an archdiocesan parish school supported by Saint Clement Church. We do not receive financial support from The Archdiocese of Chicago. As a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit institution, gifts to Saint Clement School (Federal Tax ID # 36-3158705) are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Gifts are recognized on a fiscal year basis – July 1 to June 30.

Annual Fund

Each year Saint Clement School relies on the Annual Fund to bridge the expected gap between tuition revenue and the cost to operate Saint Clement School. In lieu of higher tuition, the expectation is that every school family participates in the Annual Fund at the financial level that they are able. Once the operating budget is balanced, contributions will go toward important initiatives that will help to improve our school. Possible uses for these funds include safety improvements, teacher retention and recruitment, the tuition assistance program, enhancing science and social studies curriculum, continued funding of the middle school academic lab and addressing any direct and immediate needs in the school.

Anchor Ball

Anchor Ball is our fundraising gala that raises money for both our church and school while also celebrating our amazing community. We are excited to announce the date for our next Anchor Ball! Please mark your calendars!

Our 2022 Anchor Ball was our 30th anniversary and an unforgettable night of community, honoring our past, and raising money to help us grow in the future!

Thank you for the incredible generosity that you showed to help us surpass our $150,000 paddle raise goal. It was quite close, but Team Peter did win bragging rights. More importantly, we were able to fund adding a new person to the Child First team in the school (aka social worker) and upgrade the sound system in the Church and Chapel. Woo-hoo!

SCRIPS

The Scrip Program - What is Scrip?

Scrip is the largest of the Saint Clement Parents Association's (SCPA) fundraising efforts and helps support many SCPA-sponsored community-building events throughout the school year. It is a program that allows you to purchase pre-paid cards from retailers and then a portion of the card's value is automatically rebated to our school. For example, Lands' End offers a 15% rebate on cards purchased through Scrip. Thus, if you purchase a $100 card to use for uniform purchases, $15 will automatically come back to Saint Clement School! There are no additional costs, hassles or strings attached. Think of Scrip for a portion of your everyday shopping whenever you're purchasing groceries (Jewel, Whole Foods, Mariano's), gas, clothing, toys, gifts, housewares, or entertainment. Participation really adds up to help our school! The rebate percentages vary by retailer, but generally range from 1%-16%.

How to Participate

Go to www.shopwithscrip.com to create an account*.

Saint Clement School's enrollment code is: 8BA68F3816459

Sign up for PrestoPay by following the screen prompts. Please wait until your account is fully activated by the coordinator before placing an order and paying by PrestoPay. The process takes 2-4 business days.

Checks (payable to SCPA) are also accepted for a limited number of order dates during the school year, but PrestoPay is the preferred method of payment. This is the easiest way to participate in Scrip, as the payment is automatically debited from your checking account – no need to send checks through your child's backpack!

Using the RaiseRight app,  log in or create an account. Through the app, you can instantly access participating categories and make virtual gift card purchases for immediate use. For example, you can be in the parking lot of Mariano's, knowing that you will purchase at least $100 of groceries, purchase a virtual gift card through the app and then use that to easily and conveniently to purchase your groceries.

* If you have ever placed a Scrip order in the past, even by paper form, you already have a Scrip account set up and can place orders on-line. (You can place an order in your account and still pay by check during months checks are accepted.) If you have questions or need assistance setting up your account, please contact one of the Scrip Coordinators.

Placing your order

Orders for cards are accepted online in your account or by hard-copy forms submitted through "backpack" at least once per month. Watch the Clement Connection for upcoming order dates. Cards are delivered via your child's backpack or pickup in the school office 2-3 days after an order deadline. Additionally, if you are signed up for PrestoPay, you can order ScripNow! e-cards (delivered in minutes to your email) or "Reload" additional funds on your existing Scrip cards (for retailers that offer the reload feature) at any time – 24 hours a day, 7 days/week. No need to wait for monthly order deadlines, pay with checks or fill out forms!

Giving - Service Hours

Opportunities

Whether you have a lot of time or a little, you can help! And you will make a difference. We rely on parents to coordinate many of our social, educational, spiritual, and charitable events throughout the year, including the always fun class dinners, and Anchor Ball. This is a great way to get to know parents across all grade levels, and also get some of your volunteer hours in! General volunteer opportunities include: homeless lunches, teacher supply inventory, service day, welcome family committee, and more. Classroom/grade specific opportunities: room parent, library reader, field trip chaperone, and more. You are a parent community of many talents, and we invite you to share these talents with us in myriad ways:
